STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS
STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMSSemester/Academic Year ProgramsStudents have the opportunity to study abroad for the fall semester, spring semester or full academic year through Bowling Green State University. BGSU sponsors numerous semester or academic year programs in many countries worldwide. Each program is coordinated by a Bowling Green faculty member under the guidance and supervision of the Office of Education Abroad International Partnerships. Students receive BGSU credit and grades when studying abroad on a BGSU program and will be registered under a BGSU course number. Bowling Green students can use the majority of their institutional, state and federal financial aid when participating on a Bowing Green program.
Short Term ProgramsStudents have the opportunity to study abroad on shortterm programs through Bowling Green State University. Shortterm programs range from 110 weeks and occur during the spring break, winter break or summer sessions. BGSU sponsors approximately several programs in a variety of countries worldwide with program options varying yeartoyear. Each program is coordinated by a Bowling Green faculty member under the guidance and supervision of the Office of EAIP. Students receive BGSU credit and will be registered under a BGSU course number when studying on a BGSU program. Students participating in affiliated programs may be eligible to utilize institutional, state, and federal aid to pay for expenses related to these study abroad programs. Students will earn regular BGSU credit and grades for their coursework completed on affiliated programs. Programspecific scholarships and grants may also be offered through the affiliated organizations directly. To learn more about how to gain approval to participate on an affiliated program, please contact the Education Abroad office to meet with a study abroad advisor.

As a member of the Ohio International Consortium, Bowling Green State University can send students to over 42 countries worldwide while students utilize their institutional, state and federal aid. Note: Participants in BGSUs Presidents Leadership Academy are not able to use their scholarship for OIC programs. BGSU welcomes applications from students at other member institutions.
