Limiting Energy Waste

There are so many differing views on the Global Warming cause that after trawling around the Internet in an effort to find an understandable solution, instead of becoming easier it has become even more difficult to understand exactly what is right or wrong. Even eminent scientists appear to be at odds with one another as to what is correct. So what chance does Joe Public stand? Who can we trust?

There is an excellent article on the Hole in Ozone Layer? which questions just that. Again it begs the question who do we trust?

Waste of any kind, particularly waste of energy and food energy seem to be a sensible way of reigning in some of the various theories. This way we will save ourselves money and save some of our planet for future generations.

On the subject of waste, how can any Government that continues to jet around the world, accompanied by numerous members of staff, justify their actions when Video Conferencing exists? At the recent Copenhagen Conference, in addition a total of 1,200 limousines were used by delegates.

When a huge and beautiful conifer tree is felled, transported hundreds of miles to be erected outside the official residence in Downing Street and festooned with hundreds of electric lights consuming power, plus one policeman to guard it how is this justified? After all the tax payer us is paying for this waste.

This same Government then tells the voter to economise by switching off pilot lights and standby lights. Please, where is the intelligence in all of this?

It would seem we are still dwelling under the age old dogma of Dont do as I do, do as I say!

Why does an apparently intelligent BBC presenter on Farming Today refer to farmers as EcoSystem managers? This is education gone mad they really are just the Farmers they have always been.

Said presenter then made reference to the fact that cows pass wind and farmers use water on their crops etc. How does anyone involved in producing food for the nation avoid these events?

Our farmers are engaged in producing food for the people of this country, saving millions of miles in freighting in food from abroad yet the BBC, on the very programme that should be encouraging farmers, is belittling them.
